Your first tracking run
What happens when you press Track Now and how to read the queue.
Pressing Track Now on a topic sends every active prompt in that topic to every selected AI platform. Each prompt-platform pair becomes one execution that is queued and processed in the background. You can leave the page; runs continue on the server.
Watching the queue
The Queue page shows what is happening right now:
- Pending executions waiting to be sent
- Processing executions currently receiving an answer
- Completed executions in the last hour
- Failed executions in the last hour, each with the reason
Finished executions unlock the result viewer, the dashboard and all reports automatically. The queue list refreshes itself every 15 seconds.
Why a run can take a few minutes
Every execution is a real request to an AI platform. The queue processes jobs with a priority that depends on the plan, and limits how many executions an organization can have in flight at once. A first run with twenty prompts on three platforms means sixty executions, and it is normal for that to take several minutes.
Special cases worth knowing
- Google AI Overviews are only counted when Google actually shows an AI Overview for the prompt. If there is none, SEOAI re-checks that prompt about once a week instead of every run.
- Gemini executions always count as two quota units because they run with live Google grounding.
- If a platform fails repeatedly, the executions are marked failed with the reason, and you can enable scan-failure email alerts in the notification settings.
