Mention Share
The share of completed runs that named your brand.
A mention is an answer that names your brand in the text without necessarily linking it. The Mention Share is the portion of completed runs with at least one mention of your brand in the period.
The delta compares against the previous period of equal length.
Mentions versus citations
Mentions are broader than citations: every citation usually comes with a mention, but plenty of answers name a brand without linking it. A high mention share with a low citation share is a typical pattern worth investigating: the AI knows you exist but does not consider your pages worth linking. The gap diagnosis classifies exactly this case as "Mentioned, not cited".
What counts as a mention
The analysis recognizes your brand name and the aliases you configured on the brand, so spelling variants and abbreviations count too. Mentions require an analysis key: your own OpenRouter key on the Free plan, or the platform-provided analysis on paid plans.
