The metrics explained

The four dashboard metrics and share of voice at a glance.

SEOAI reports visibility with a handful of numbers that all come from the same raw data: the answers AI platforms gave to your prompts. This page is the map; each metric has its own page with the exact definition.

The four dashboard metrics

  1. Visibility Score: in how many runs did you appear at all, cited or mentioned
  2. Citation Share: your slice of all citations in the answers of your tracked prompts
  3. Mention Share: in how many completed runs was your brand named
  4. Sentiment: how positive or negative the tone of your mentions is, from minus one to plus one

Every metric card shows the value for the selected period and the change versus the previous period of equal length, so a delta of plus five means compared to the equally long period before.

Share of Voice

On top of the dashboard metrics, Share of Voice (SOV) compares you against every other brand that appears in your tracked answers. It is your main benchmark in the Competitors area.

Where the numbers come from

Each execution stores the full answer. Analysis extracts every citation with its position, every brand mention with its sentiment, and the fan-out queries the AI ran internally. The metrics aggregate these extractions over the selected time range. This is why missing analysis (no analysis key on the Free plan) leaves mention share and sentiment empty while visibility and citations still work.
