Prompts

Prompts are the exact questions sent to the AI platforms. They are tracked as written, and wording changes answers, so treat prompt selection as the most important editorial decision in your tracking setup.

Adding prompts

On the topic page, open Add prompts and paste one prompt per line, for example:

what is the best seo tool?
best ai visibility tracker?

Each prompt lands in the topic's prompt list where you can pause it with the Active toggle, delete it with its results, or refine it. Plan limits cap prompts per topic: 10 on Free, 20 on Starter, 30 on Pro, 50 on Agency.

Prompt suggestions

The Suggest prompts dialog generates prompt ideas in three groups: your Brand, Your market, and Problem and intent questions. Select the ones you want and add them in one go. The dialog shows how many prompt slots are left, and if your set already covers the topic well it tells you instead of generating filler.

Suggestions use monthly generations that depend on the plan: 10 on Free, 20 on Starter, 50 on Pro, 150 on Agency. Recently generated suggestions are shown from cache without consuming a new generation.

Intent

Every prompt has an intent: Brand, Definition, Best-of, Comparison, How-to or Fact. You can set it manually, or leave it unset and it will be classified automatically after the first runs. The intent drives the answer-shape check in citability audits and the grouping in the visibility funnel.

Target page

Each prompt can pin a target page: the exact URL on your site that citability audits should analyze for this prompt. Leave it empty and SEOAI auto-detects a page via Google. Pinning matters when your site has several pages that could match the prompt; the audit is only as precise as the page it examines.
