API keys
Bring your own provider keys, or let the platform run everything.
API Settings is where you connect your own provider accounts. Every provider card works the same way: paste the key, press Save and validate, and the status turns Active once the key is accepted.
What each key does
- OpenAI: runs your ChatGPT prompts
- Anthropic: runs your Claude prompts
- Google (Gemini): runs your Gemini prompts
- Perplexity: runs your Perplexity prompts
- DataForSEO: powers lookups such as target-page detection
- OpenRouter: powers the analysis that extracts mentions and sentiment
On the Free plan you need the provider keys for the platforms you track, plus an OpenRouter key for analysis. On paid plans the platform provides scanning and analysis keys for you; your own key takes priority and runs on your billing without consuming quota.
Security and account notes
Keys are encrypted at rest and never shown again after saving; only the last four characters are displayed. Removing a credential asks for confirmation and stops own-key tracking for that provider.
All four main providers use prepaid billing models: keep credit topped up, or scans fail with an out-of-credit error. For Google, a billing-enabled account (Tier 1) is recommended, because the free tier has low rate limits and slows scans down.
Permissions
Only owners and admins can change API keys. Members see a note asking them to contact a workspace admin.
